Hirst Electric Company was established in 1986.  Initially, Hirst wired fueling systems for a local petroleum construction company.  Since then, the company has moved into other areas of commercial, industrial and residential wiring.  Rapid changes in the industry have demanded increased expertise and Hirst Electric Company has delivered.  We specialize in electrical wiring, lighting and maintenance for canopy lighting, convenience stores, parking lot lighting, retail sales area, educational institutions, industrial buildings, restaurants, physician and dental offices, retail and grocery stores and residential homes.  We strictly adhere to National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) and will ensure your project is built to meet those specifications.

Safety Mission

Hirst Electric Company is committed to protecting our employees from immediate physical harm.  It is our goal to eliminate or control both known and potential safety and health hazards, which our employees encounter while on the job.  In order to effectively accomplish this, we must strictly adhere to the following guidelines:

 

  • Safety and health are a shared responsibility.  It is imperative that everyone, from the top management team to supervisors to each and every worker, must take ownership of his or her own safety and that of their co-workers
  • It is everyone’s responsibility to locate hazards and either correct them or report them to the proper authority in a timely manner.
  • Where hazards cannot be completely eliminated, they must be reduced through effective engineering, administrative controls, or as a final precaution, through the proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Every individual will be trained to perform work safely.  Should an individual feel inadequately trained to perform a certain procedure, they must immediately discuss the problem with their supervisor.
  • As a condition of employment, each employee must consistently work in a safe manner.
  • All Hirst Electric employees are expected to follow OSHA requirements.
